product details & reviews
The Brit Award winning James Morrison follows his million selling debut, 'Undiscovered', with 'Songs For You, Truths For Me'. Running in a similar vein to his first record, this album comprises the soulful blues and distinctive voice that made 'Undiscovered' so successful. 'Songs For You, Truths For Me' includes 'Broken Strings', a duet with Nelly Furtado and is preceded by the single 'You Make It Real'.

'Songs for You, Truths For Me' is a classic James Morrison record that once again showcases his distinctive, raw, soulful style – but takes it to the next level. James Morrison’s big, unashamedly romantic heart and generous spirit shines through like a beacon. 'Songs For You, Truths For Me' sees the wide eyed soul-boy become a wiser man. With this he shines once more on a brilliant new collection of songs and cathartic truths.
- The Times - "Soulful and charismatic...his Cat Stevens-like songs are wrapped up in the kind of faux-Sixties production employed on Duffy's album. The results are surprisingly lovely - 'Save Yourself' and 'Precious Love' have a Spectorish glow"

Simply Amazing!
9 April, 2009
I was at his gig in November at Shepherds Bush, and I still think about how amazing he is live. And incredibly funny. he truly is one of the best singer/songwriters out there, the guy has so much talent it's unreal.
My favourite track on here is Broken Strings, simply because it is beautifully writtern, beautifully sung and deserved to be a huge success. I also have the first CD and every single song is on my MP3 player.
I listen to the songs whenever I am writing a scene and the lyrics definitely are a inspiration.
Love it, recommend it to people who love soulful music.
Can't wait for album number 3 :D

legend in the making
18 February, 2009
With a stunning voice, great songs, two cracking albums on the trot and being discovered in Derby, Morrison is absolutely the business.
The man's influences are obvious but this guy is British, so be proud, proud, proud. Go out, buy it, stick it on your player, pour out your favorite drink and immerse yourself in soul.
Wonder of he'll come back to Ryan's bar now? That would be cool, and the place would be rammed.

Rugby, U.K., singer-songwriter James Morrison could be the genetic offspring of James Blunt, Joss Stone, and Terence Trent-D'Arby. Soulful vocals mixed with sensitive acoustic guitars, and some tasteful Beatles-esque string flourishes, and there you have it. Morrison's debut album, UNDISCOVERED, released in July of 2006, owed as much to contemporaries KT Tunstall and Damien Rice as it did to legends like Otis Redding, Cat Stevens, or Nick Drake--and that undeniably successful formula, not surprisingly, took the album to the top of the U.K. album charts.
