Wolf Gang's SXSW debut was the talk of Austin and included packed shows at the NME Official Showcase, a show at the prestigious Fader Fort and finished off with a show at the Neon Gold/Chess Club party. Already creating a stir among music press in the UK and now in the US, Wolf Gang are well on the road to success.
The debut album was recorded with producer Dave Fridmann (MGMT, Mercury Rev, Flaming Lips) and showcases just what everyone is anticipating – a ferocious pop record with an abundance of suave panache, punchy beats and heart-throttling melodies. This album is one of Fridmann's rare collaborations with a UK artist, having heard a demo of 'Lions In Cages' he immediately invited Max out to record the track in Upstate New York and the rest as they say, is history.
- Uncut - 4 stars out of 5 -- "McElligott is a remarkably assured songwriter, cribbing enthusiastically from glam, new wave and artful '80s pop to fashion a sparkling set of songs..."

Cracking album. Great live band and the debut album is just as good. There isn't a single bad song on the album, but best tracks have to be the single 'King and all of his men' and the beautiful 'Midnight Dancers'
