Nov 2009
Two years after Commander Shepard repelled invading Reapers bent on the destruction of organic life, a mysterious new enemy has emerged. On the fringes of known space, something is silently abducting entire human colonies. Now Shepard must work with Cerberus, a ruthless organisation devoted to human survival at any cost, to stop the most terrifying threat mankind has ever faced. To even attempt this perilous mission, Shepard must assemble the galaxy's most elite team and command the most powerful ship ever built. Even then, they say it would be suicide. Commander Shepard intends to prove them wrong.

The Reapers are still out there...

And you better be ready to bring the fight to them!
After playing the first Mass Effect in 2008, I can say it was one of the finest games I have ever played in my life. With suburb characters, story, gameplay and RPG elements all put together in a Galaxy so more original then other generic Sci-fi films and games, could a sequel really be as breath-taking as the original.
I am glad to say it is. After Shepard is accidentally killed during an attack on the Normandy ship, two years have passed and the galaxy is once again calling on the man who saved the Citadel. Shepard is brought back to life by the shady company Cerberus and is asked to join them in their quest investigating colonies of Humans who are disappearing rapidly.
From there on it is up to you what choices Shepard will make on his quest, whether you want to be a heroic Paragon, or use harsh methods to become a Renegade.
The gameplay is drastically improved, with easier to use wall mounting, improved ability wheels and helpful squad mates to drive you to defeat your enemies.
The story is once again brilliant, and driven by you allowing the story and characters to mean more to you and actually end up caring for them.
With beautiful environments and interesting worlds and alien races, Mass Effect 2 could well be the Game of the Year of 2010.
Pros:
*Fantastic improved Gameplay
*Deep, controlled story
*New squad mates and old
*Great replayability
Cons:
*Mi
ssing a villain such as Saren to drive your heroes.
