Howard Moon and Vince Noir are two zookeepers at the Zoo-Niverse. Here they encounter many strange adventures including boxing kangaroos, missing cheese-headed explorers, jazz-funk musicians with doors in their heads and a visit to Monkey Hell. Includes Series 2.
Feb 2006
Howard and Vince, two workers in a run-down zoo, are often called upon to put their jobs before their pride. That means dressing up as animals and sitting in cages because their boss, American entrepreneur Bob Fossil, can't afford any real animals. Vince accepts the situation happily, quite in contrast to his grandiose, tweed-wearing colleague.
But their jobs involve much more than just dressing up. From battling mutant animals engineered in a secret laboratory underneath the zoo, to fighting a kangaroo to raise money for their dilapidated workplace, Howard and Vince always find themselves at the centre of some very strange events.
HMV DVD Editor
One of the strangest and funniest comedies to come out of the BBC in years. Both series are quite different from one another and introduce new characters as the series moves on. Series one is set in a zoo where you see Howard and Vince slowly lose their dignity pursuing tasks such as fighting a kangaroo and dining a Panda. This series is unmissable and characters to look out for include the Hitcher and Charlie.
Series Two differs a little as it is set in a flat where Vince, Howard, Naboo and Bollo are living. You see Howard and Vince dress as old women in the fight against Nannagedon and you get to experience Howards love for Jazz-funk One of the main highlights of this series, if not a bit creepy is the Legend of Old Gregg. This will guarantee to make you laugh especially when he reveals his dark secret.
Filled with humorous songs such as the Tundra song, the Hitcher song and Love Games, this DVD is guaranteed to provide hours of humour and will leave you sore from laughing. The special features are especially worth taking a look at, as it includes the songs from the series and hilarious outakes when they were filming both series.
