The ultimate Nintendo hero is taking the ultimate step... out into space! Join Mario as he ushers in a new era of video games, defying gravity across all the planets in the galaxy. In the game, players run, jump and battle enemies as they explore all the planets in the galaxy. Since 'Super Mario Galaxy' makes full use of all the features of the Wii Remote, players have to do all kinds of things to succeed: pressing buttons, swinging the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk, and even pointing at and dragging things with the pointer.
Since he's in space, Mario can perform mindbending jumps unlike anything he's done before. He'll also have a wealth of new moves that are all based around tilting, pointing and shaking the Wii Remote!
Mario essentially defined the 3-D platforming genre with Super Mario 64, and 'Super Mario Galaxy' for the Wii proves once again that he is king. Players perform mind-bending, low gravity jumps across wild alien terrain as they experience platforming for a new generation.

Super Mario Galaxy is yet another of the games on my best Wii games list. I've had it ages now so I rarely play it anyh more but what I played when I first had it it was brilliant, the graphica are superb, the space setting is a great idea, there's brand new characters,, new enemies. This is a great Wii title. If your not in to Mario Kart then this is the best possible alternative!

This game is simply exquisite, and it doesn't take long playing to realise why it's rated as one of the best games ever for any platform. The 3D graphics are perfect, and never chokes on frame-rate, even if the camera angles very occasionally aren't as helpful as they could be. Perhaps could be a little harder to complete the main game story, though that still leaves another 60 of the 120 worlds to explore and complete! Ultimately, one of the few games around really worth spending full price on.
