Debut album from hotly-touted young York band who bring their classical training to bear on rock music, producing a bombastic strain of piano-led pop-punk that has seen attention lavished on them by the UK's rock press and drawn comparisons with the likes of Something Corporate, Son Of Dork, Good Charlotte, The Click Five and Cute Is What We Aim For. Produced by Jim Wirt (Hoobastank, Something Corporate), the album contains all four of their top 40 singles including their biggest hit 'Still Figuring Out'.

Already the biggest UK underground band that are quietly infiltrating the mainstream, York quintet Elliot Minor crash into mainstream consciousness with the release their self-titled debut album.
Produced by Jim Wirt (Incubus, Hoobastank, Something Corporate) and mixed by Neal Avron (Yellowcard, New Found Glory, Fall Out Boy), the album finds Elliot Minor mixing approaches from the piano-infused hard rock of 'Time After Time' to the sonically charged 'Parallel Worlds', which is embellished with grandiose orchestration. They deliver pitch perfect three-way vocal harmonies on the infectious 'The White One is Evil' and add an undertone of ultra-melodic punk to 'Still Figuring Out'.

sit back, these guys'll take you for a ride!
This is the BEST album this year and is pure gold from the first note to the last.
If you find a fiver in the back pocket of your jeans, then it is DEFINITELY worth spending it on Minor.
It is a totally new sound, because they rock, but they have a hint of classical about them.

Formed in 2005, much was made of quintet Elliot Minor's background on their breakthrough - they went to public school, they were classically trained, they were formerly choristers at York Minster û even the band name sounded posh. However, nothing could detract from the success and popularity of the polished emo-ish pop-punk on their sensibly titled debut ELLIOT MINOR (2008) which was produced by Jim Wirt (Hoobastank, Something Corporate) and laden with catchy UK hit singles.
