International Shoppers

We are happy to offer most of our products to international customers. However, please note that we are unable to ship games consoles, digital music players, ereaders and some oversized products such as Guitar Hero Band Bundle to customers living outside of the UK. Below are details that you will find useful when placing orders to be shipped outside of the UK.

Standard Airmail:You will be charged a shipping cost for each item placed on your order - Europe £2.50, Rest Of The World £4.50. Upon entering the shipping country, deliveries will enter the postal system of the country concerned. It is our experience that goods delivered using this method arrive within 5-7 days of despatch for European destinations, and within 7-10 days of despatch for the Rest Of The World.

Overseas Courier Delivery:You will be charged a shipping cost for each item placed on your order - Europe £27, Rest Of The World £37. Orders will be dispatched using FedEx. This method is fully secure, and we can track and trace the shipment for you. Orders placed by this method should reach you within 2-3 days of despatch for European destinations, and within 3-5 days of despatch for the Rest Of The World. Orders sent via this method will require a signature upon receipt.

We would request that you register a contact telephone number when using our Express shipping method. This will mean that the courier can contact you should they be unable to locate your address.

VAT

For UK customers the prices payable for goods are as set out in the web site inclusive of VAT and any duties and local taxes where applicable. If goods are dispatched from Guernsey to a shipping address in the UK, HMV will collect UK import VAT from you on behalf of the consignee where necessary. Consignments sent from Guernsey to the UK of a value of £18 or under are relieved from import VAT under current legislation.

For purchases by UK businesses where goods are dispatched from Guernsey, no evidence of payment of UK import VAT can be provided.

For customers ordering for delivery from Guernsey to a country other than the UK the prices payable for goods are exclusive of VAT and local taxes and the customer is responsible for payment of any local taxes payable including VAT, and will be required to pay extra for delivery and clearance where necessary.

Customs Charges

If you are ordering goods for delivery outside of the UK, please note that your consignment may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the goods reach the country of destination. Any such charges levied in relation to customs clearance must be borne by you. It is accepted by you that hmv has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. hmv recommend that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes / duties that may be applicable to your on-line order. You will be the importer of record and responsible for any import VAT and duty that may be borne. In addition, any charges for import clearance will be borne by you, the customer.

Please note that when shipping goods from Guernsey, cross border shipments may be subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities. In respect of all goods dispatched to you to an address outside of Guernsey, you are deemed to be the importer of the goods and must therefore comply with all the laws and regulations of the country into which the goods are being delivered.

All the countries in our list have to reach certain specifications for reliability and security of delivery. Please note that we only ship to Argentina, Brazil and Israel via a secure courier delivery method. Regrettably countries not on this list do not fulfil all our specifications.
