product details & reviews
After building up a solid worldwide fanbase through constant touring in support of their third album 'Comalies', the Italian goth metallers present the follow-up. With a masterful production from extreme metal producer Waldemar Sorychta (Tiamat, The Gathering), 'Karmacode' sounds absolutely massive, consolidating all the best bits of the band's sound and pushing it forward. Includes the single 'Our Truth' and a cover of Depeche Mode's classic 'Enjoy The Silence'.
- Rock Sound (04/06, p.89) - 9 (out of 10) - "...by far the band's most accomplished and accessible work to date..."
Kerrang (01/04/06, p.46) - 4 (out of 5) - "...undoubtedly [their] best work to date... the work of a band who have finally found themselves and realised, fully, the potential they so obviously always had."

Lacuna Coil for the modern times
20 May, 2008
This album is the sound of a band spreading their wings. From the opening track it's clear that the band were thinking a little outside the box. With use of middle eastern sounds and multi layer vocal harmonies the band never lose sight of their core sound. The music is just as melodic and heavy and Christina's vocal's are superb once again.

Formed in the early 1990s, this Italian outfit is an anomaly in the annals of metal, blending dark goth leanings with sophisticated arrangements and an unmistakable ear for snappy pop hooks. Singer Cristina Scabbia's ethereal vocals undoubtedly go a long way towards enhancing the band's commercial appeal, while its live act and a relentless tour schedule have gained the band a loyal international fan base.
