Three years after the release of The Thrills' second album 'Let's Bottle Bohemia' comes the Dublin based five piece's follow-up 'Teenager.' The product of exhaustive studio sessions and a obsessive level of attention to detail, the album sees the band manage to emulate and at points even surpass the quality of their debut 'So Much For The City.' Produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Belle & Sebastian, Grandaddy), the album perfectly showcases The Thrills' talents in combining impossibly catchy melodies and sophisticated instrumentation to produce another classic record in waiting. Includes the single 'Nothing Changes Around Here'.

'Teenager' is The Thrills' third album. The five-man group from Dublin had put together two outstanding albums in two years – 'So Much For The City' in 2003 and 'Let's Bottle Bohemia' in 2004 – racking up sales well in excess of a million copies. Having toured non-stop for four and a half years, the band established their credentials as one of the key acts of the decade, and got a taste of what it is like to perform at some of the biggest venues in the world, in the company of U2 and Oasis, amongst others. 'Teenager', produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Supergrass, Fratellis), speaks of adolescence, the loss of innocence and of leaving it all behind. It is the sound of a band re-invigorated by the simple love of working and playing together again.
The unique thing about this release is the accompanying film 'The End Of Innocence - A Film About The Thrills', which features on the Special Edition. Directed by Danny O'Connor whose award winning work includes the chart topping Stereophonics DVD 'Rewind', the film is a revealing and insightful portrait of a young band coming to terms with the immediate success and adulation for their first album 'So Much for the City' and the muted press and public reaction to their second album 'Let's Bottle Bohemia'. A series of honest interviews, live performance, behind the scenes footage and commentary from Bob Geldof makes this a very exclusive package for any fan. Screenings at Glastonbury, Dublin Film Festival and New York 'Irish' Film Festival have begun the buzz already, and anticipation for this release is building fast!

Coming more than three years after the Thrills' commercially successful and critically acclaimed second album, LET'S BOTTLE BOHEMIA, TEENAGER finds the Irish quintet changing little of their California-style soft-rock sound. Reuniting with producer Tony Hoffer, who helmed their debut album, SO MUCH FOR THE CITY, TEENAGER maintains the harmony-heavy, piano- and acoustic guitar-based sound of their earlier albums on tracks like the dreamy first single, "Nothing Changes Round Here," and the bright-eyed "This Year." In keeping with the album's title, the sort of wistfulness for lost youth that usually shows up around one's 30th birthday permeates both the title track and the epic ballad "Should've Known Better." However, the tinge of melancholy fits well with the group's musical dedication to Brian Wilson's late-1960s period.
Irish band The Thrills made a splash in 2003 with their debut album SO MUCH FOR THE CITY. Despite the group's origins, their sound harks back to '60s West Coast pop/rock a la the Byrds, Jimmy Webb, and the Beach Boys. The follow-up, LET'S BOTTLE BOHEMIA, proved to be an even more assured-sounding effort, showing that the Thrills were much more than just a flash in the pan.
