In My Record Collection, we dig down to the bottom of musicians' souls to find out what the most treasured parts of their record collection are. This week, it's the turn of rising star Dominique. Let's dive in...

The first record I ever bought with my own money was…

"It was Speakerboxxx/The Love Below by Outkast at 10 years old. And it was pretty much the main thing I listened to for four years."

The record that made me want to be in a band was…

"This was Hot Fuss by The Killers. I got it when I was 13 years old and I still know every word!"

The record I've played more than any other is…

“Miike Snow by Miike Snow. I still reference it regularly almost 10 years later."

The record that always makes me feel good is…

"Any record by The Beatles. My dad played these around the house growing up and it brings back the best memories of home."

The record I turn to when I'm feeling down is…

"ONEPOINTFIVE by Aminé. He has such an incredible sense of humour in his music, and it always makes me smile."

The record I think is the most underrated of all time is…

"Lemonade by Beyonce. And yes, I know, this record was Grammy-nominated for album of the year, but it’s still underrated. Every song could’ve hit #1 and I’d still think it’s underrated."

The record with my favourite cover art is…

"I love the album art for Lorde’s Melodrama."

The record with my favourite title is…

“Sway by Tove Styrke. It’s such a sexy word and an incredible title track."

The record I can't understand why everybody loves is…

"The Suburbs by Arcade Fire. I’m sorry..."

The last record I bought was…

“NAKAMURA by Aya Nakamura. My favourite French artist as of right now. Go listen now!"

The record I'm most looking forward to hearing in 2019 is…

"I’m really excited to hear the next Ariana Grande album, because she’s on a roll."

The greatest record of all time is…

“It's got to be Abbey Road by The Beatles. Everything about the album, from the artwork, the music, and the recording artists, is iconic and timeless."
