David Ellefson is, together with Dave Mustaine, an original and founding member of Megadeth, with whom he continues to record, tour and expire new generations of metal musicians. During the recording of 'No Cover', Ellefson warmed up with cover songs for B-sides and bonus tracks. David and his band - vocalist Thom Hazaert, guitarists Andy Martongelli and Ron 'Bumblefoot' and drummer Paolo Caridi - decided to push the envelope and realised that their versions were too powerful to not be released on a proper album. 'No Cover' was born. The album features 18 cover songs of some of the greatest hard rock and metal bands of all time (Queen, KISS, Def Leppard, AC/DC, Motorhead and many more). Ellefson's versions capture all that heavy metal and hard rock always meant: power, fun, great musicianship, passion. The sound and the production on the album will blow every metal fan away; powerful, wonderfully played and produced. It is no surprise that a lot of Ellefson and Megadeth friends have joined in celebration: Charlie Benante (Anthrax), Eddie Ojeda (Twisted Sister), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth), Doro Pesch, Frank Hannon and Troy Lucketta (Tesla) and many more hop effortlessly on and off the songs and turn each piece into a true explosion of metal joy.
