What is the Sanrio universe?
Enter the pawsitively adorable Japanese world of the kawaii characters. It began with Shintaro Tsuji's vision to spark joy and delight in children of all ages in 1960 through the endearing stories of darling animal characters like Cinnamoroll and My Melody.
Its first character was a gentle, laid-back bear named Coro Chan, but the Sanrio universe really transcended international borders with the introduction of Hello Kitty in 1974.
