For the upcoming Christmasquerade ball, Angie goes to collect a dress for her cousin. When Angie meets the dressmaker, she finds that the dress has been made for her. At first she insists that she must have a dress ready for her cousin to go to the ball, but the dressmaker reassures Angie that she has created the dress with only her in mind, allowing her to go to the ball and conceal her identity under a masquerade mask. At the ball, she captivates the attention of rich young bachelor Nicholas (Peter Porte) and the two share a magical evening together. Before she can remove her mask and reveal her identity she rushes home to be back before midnight, meaning Nicholas has no idea who the enchanting young woman was. He launches a campaign to find and marry her, but will he find Angie again or will her identity be mistaken?
