BECOMING A SUPPLIER

MUSIC AND VISUAL

If you would like us to consider stocking your music or visual goods in hmv and Fopp and online, you are normally required to have a distribution deal with a distributor that we already use. The use of a third-party distributor who has an existing relationship with us will provide our stores and customers with the highest standard of service, whilst providing you with several economies of scale. 

We have an extensive supplier base and have accounts with many of the established music and visual distributors in the UK. If you would like details of some of the distributors that we use and that you could approach, please email us at legal@hmv.co.uk and be sure to include full details of the music or visual that you wish us to consider stocking. Note that stocking decisions are based on several factors, including price, sales potential, and marketing plans, therefore having a distribution deal is no guarantee that we would be able to stock your music or visual goods.

    

LOCAL ARTISTS AND BANDS

If you are an artist or a band and you don't have a record label distribution deal or don't want to go down that route, but you are interested in being stocked in your local hmv or Fopp store, please see local artists. 

POP CULTURE AND BOOKS 

Our pop culture offer to our customers includes t-shirts, figurines, plush toys, Japanese and American confectionery, drinks, posters and loads more. Books include; cult and classic fiction and a wide range of graphic novels.

       

TECHNOLOGY 

Technology includes turntables, headphones, speakers, and accessories. We work with great brands such as Skullcandy, House of Marley, Audio Technica, Sony and others.

If you have anything that you think we may be interested in stocking, please email full details to legal@hmv.co.uk and we will forward your email on to the relevant buyers in our head office buying department. If they are interested in exploring the opportunity further, they will be in touch with you.

When contacting us please include as much information as possible, including your pricing and any marketing plans. 
Please be patient as we do receive many emails from potential suppliers... emails only, no phone calls!

Please mark the envelope or parcel for the attention of music, visual, pop culture, books, or technology so that it reaches the relevant buyers as soon as possible. Note that we are unable to return any samples that are sent to us.

B2B SERVICES, PRODUCTS AND AGENCIES

If you are offering services or products that are not for sale and are for internal use, please email legal@hmv.co.uk with an introduction and full details. Your email shall be forwarded to the relevant department who shall contact you if they are interested. No phone calls please. 

We are not looking to change our marketing or recruitment agencies at present.
