New shop in City2 Shopping Centre will become a pop culture destination as the retailer opens on 12th April 2024. The opening is our second outlet on mainland Europe having opened in Antwerp’s Wijnegem shopping centre in November 2023 and demonstrates the business’ appetite for continued expansion on the continent.
hmv Brussels will be the largest entertainment retail space in Belgium by square footage and will create 8 new jobs. Founded in 1921, hmv is now the UK’s leading retailer of music and pop culture merchandise – it currently accounts for over half of all of the country’s vinyl sales and has over 120 outlets.
Bringing together its successful music and pop culture format, the new 6,300 sq. ft Brussels hmv is
the perfect destination for fans of music and pop culture to discover new releases and collectibles. Record enthusiasts and collectors will be able to browse 6,000 different vinyl albums, while the store
will also stock over 8,000 different CDs as well as a wide range of music technology. For entertainment
fans, there will be over 4,000 products across franchises such as Funko, Loungefly, Anime, Marvel, Star
Wars, DC, Graphic Novels as well as over 400 T-shirt designs. Fans of film and TV will find over 1,500 titles on DVD and over 2,000 Blu-Ray and 4K UHDs, including collector's editions and items exclusive to hmv.

The continent represents a substantial area for growth for the business and now we’re getting our feet under the table with our second store further hmv shop openings will follow.
