Gift Cards

GIFT CARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions apply to physical gift cards issued in the UK. Older gift cards may be subject to separate terms that are printed on or supplied with the card.

1. Gift cards can only be redeemed for goods in HMV and Fopp stores in the United Kingdom. Exclusions may apply.
2. Gift cards cannot be used online.
3. Gift cards can be activated with a minimum value of £1 up to a maximum value of £250.
4. Gift cards may be used towards goods of a higher value than the current balance on the gift card with payment of the difference by another accepted method. If you do not spend the entire balance on the gift card, no change will be given but the balance may be applied to future purchases. Gift cards (and any card balance) cannot be exchanged for cash. Gift cards are exempt from the standard returns policies of HMV and Fopp.
5. Where goods have been purchased with a gift card and are subsequently exchanged for goods of a lower price, any monies owing will be refunded to a gift card.
6. Gift cards are for personal use only and may not be used for commercial purposes (including but not limited to resale) without our prior written consent.
7. Only gift card holders who can prove they are of the appropriate age can use a gift card to purchase goods which are subject to age restriction.
8. If the gift card is not used for a consecutive period of twenty-four months from the date it was issued or from the date it was last used, either to make a purchase or to add additional funds, it will automatically expire, and any remaining balance will be cancelled.
9. Gift cards should be treated as cash. They are not cheque guarantee, credit, or debit cards. We shall not accept liability for lost, stolen or damaged cards or for any balance on such cards and are not responsible for any funds used without your consent.
10. HMV and Fopp stores reserve the right to refuse to accept gift cards which they deem to have been tampered with, duplicated or which otherwise are suspected to be fraudulent, and we may take appropriate action, including but not limited to the cancellation of such cards.
11. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice where we consider it reasonable and necessary to do so.
12. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

E-GIFT CARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS
