Alice Cespi (Bolkan) is a young translator living in Rome who has lost all memory of the last three days of her life. The only clue she can find is a torn postcard from a hotel on the island of Garma. She is also haunted by a vivid recurring dream about a science fiction film she believes she saw many years ago, in which an astronaut is left to die on the moon. As she desperately attempts to piece together the truth behind her amnesia, she becomes increasingly suspicious of everyone she meets and is plagued by nightmarish visions.
