Mama/The Purge/The Purge: Anarchy/Ouija/As Above, So Below

£17.99

Released: 3rd August 2015. Collection of five horror films. In 'Mama' (2013), two young sisters are haunted by the ghost of their dead mother. On the day after their parents are killed Victoria (Megan Charpentier) and Lilly (Isabelle Nélisse) disappear from their suburban home without a trace. Five years later, a man out walking in the woods discovers the now feral girls living in a run-down shack. As the girls try to return to a normal life after being taken in by their uncle Lucas (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and his girlfriend Annabel (Jessica Chastain), chillingly ominous signs begin to convince the couple that, along with the girls, something else has come to stay. Ethan Hawke stars as the head of a family forced to fight for their lives in 'The Purge' (2013), directed by James DeMonaco. With crime in America spiralling out of control and prison populations soaring, the government of the day implements a drastic new initiative to address the problem. For a 12-hour period once a year, all crime, including murder, is legal, as the police and other emergency services stand down for the night, allowing the population to regulate itself. 'The Purge' is deemed a success due to plummeting crime levels and record low unemployment figures. But after placing their upmarket home under its yearly lockdown, James and Mary Sandin (Hawke and Lena Headey) and their family find themselves under siege from a crazed group of masked killers when their teenage son (Max Burkholder) offers shelter to the mob's terrified prey. In 'The Purge: Anarchy' (2014), a year has passed and the time for society to purge itself of all murderous and violent urges has come back around. Desperate to get home to their children before The Purge commences, a young couple (Zach Gilford and Kiele Sanchez) find themselves stranded when their car breaks down, leaving them at the mercy of a mob of masked attackers. Meanwhile, a man (Frank Grillo) looking to avenge the murder of his son becomes the reluctant protector of a mother and daughter (Carmen Ejogo and Zoe Soul) on the run. Can they all survive the night? Stiles White directs 'Ouija' (2014) starring Daren Kagasoff, Olivia Cooke and Ana Coto. When their friend is killed in a freak accident at her home after using a Ouija board, a close-knit group decide to test out the board themselves to find out the real cause of her death. What they don't realise at the time is that their friend has opened a portal to the spirit world and has let a demonic presence enter her home, and one by one the group are made to face their darkest fears as the powers of the board overwhelm them. Lastly, in 'As Above, So Below' (2014), Perdita Weeks stars as Scarlet Marlow, a student in urban archaeology with a flair for the unusual. When Scarlet and her team discover that an important piece of history lies 370 feet beneath the streets of Paris she realises that they could potentially gain access to their point of interest through the ancient catacombs. Built in 1785 to house more than six million corpses, the catacombs consist of 200 miles of underground tunnels designed as the world's largest mass grave. As the group start to explore the passages they uncover more than they ever dreamed possible and unearth dark secrets that the mausoleum has been hiding for centuries.
