When a huge rockslide occurs just outside the sleepy, tourist village of Geiranger the rocks tumbling into the fjord below causes an 80-metre tsunami to head right for the villagers. As they prepare to move out of Geiranger with their two kids, geologist Kristian Eikfjord (Joner) and his wife Idun (Ane Dahl Torp) find themselves with ten minutes to evacuate their home before the imminent disaster strikes. The family and their fellow villagers flee to the safety of the nearby mountains while Kristian, who anticipated the landslide, tries to protect his family as best he can.
