Zoolander/Zoolander No. 2

Released: 4th July 2016. Double bill of comedies following the misadventures of the dim but affable supermodel Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller). In 'Zoolander' (2001), when Derek, former winner of the coveted Male Model of the Year award, goes to work for up-and-coming fashion designer Mugatu (Will Ferrell), he has no idea that he is walking into a complex web of political intrigue and murder. Mugatu is planning the assassination of a Malaysian politician whose campaign against exploitative child labour looks set to cut into the fashion industry's profit margin, and he sees Zoolander as the perfect person to pull the trigger. The designer brainwashes the model so that he will perform the assassination as soon as he hears the Frankie Goes to Hollywood classic 'Relax', and then sits back and waits for the politician's scheduled appearance at an imminent New York fashion event. Will Derek realise the threat he poses in time to prevent the murder or will the cruel and ruthless fashion industry triumph once again? In the sequel 'Zoolander 2' (2016), when pop stars start being taken out by hitmen, giving the Zoolander signature 'Blue Steel' look before dying, FBI agent Melanie Valentina (Penelope Cruz) begins investigating. She calls on Zoolander and Hansel (Owen Wilson) to infiltrate the new world of high fashion to uncover the truth about the pop star killings. At this point, however, Zoolander and Hansel are now aged, washed-up models. A complication arises in the form of their old foe Mugatu, who has been recently released from prison and is bent on revenge. The all-star cast also features cameos from Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Usher.
