The complete first season of the US sitcom following two twenty-something, financially insecure friends who hope to one day start their own cupcake business. When Caroline (Beth Behrs), a former high society girl, finds herself penniless after her father is jailed for fraud she comes to work in a Brooklyn restaurant and befriends fellow waitress Max (Kat Dennings). They become roommates and begin to save money to put towards opening a cupcake shop; sometimes taking on extra jobs in the process. As they struggle to even pay the rent, their plan for their future business gets off to a shaky start.
