The film follows the true story of Nazif Mujic, a scrap iron merchant working long hours to support his family while his partner, Senada Alimanovic looks after their two children whilst pregnant with their third. When Nazif returned home one evening to find his wife in pain he borrowed a car to take her to the hospital where they were informed they had lost the baby. In excruciating pain, it was vital that Senada had an operation to remove the five-month-old foetus, but, as she did not have health insurance the hospital demanded payment which the couple simply could not afford.
