Triple bill of supernatural horrors centred on a haunted doll. In 'Annabelle' (2014) John (Ward Horton) thinks he has found the perfect gift for his wife Mia (Annabelle Wallis) and their unborn child: a vintage porcelain doll. However, after they are attacked in their home by members of a satanic cult, the doll is possessed and the family is plagued by a series of inexplicable events. Unable to rid themselves of the doll, John and Mia discover that the cult members summoned a demon which is now intent on claiming a human soul. With Mia its intended target, can they find a way to stop the demon before it's too late? In the prequel 'Annabelle: Creation' (2017), after the death of their young daughter, dollmaker Samuel Mullins (Anthony LaPaglia) and his wife Esther (Miranda Otto) invite a group of six girls and nun Sister Charlotte (Stephanie Sigman) to stay in their farmhouse after their orphanage is closed down. However, it soon transpires that the couple did this to atone for inadvertently inviting a demon into their home after mistaking it for the spirit of their daughter Annabelle. Now occupying one of Samuel's dolls, the spirit proceeds to terrorise the girls as it tries to claim their souls. Finally, in 'Annabelle Comes Home' (2019), renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) think they have finally contained the cursed Annabelle doll when they bring it home, have it blessed by a priest and lock it inside a case made of sacred glass. However, when the couple depart for the night, leaving their ten-year-old daughter Judy (Mckenna Grace) with babysitter Mary Ellen (Madison Iseman) and her friend Daniela (Katie Sarife), Annabelle's spirit is inadvertently released. As she unleashes other spirits that have been trapped by the Warrens, chaos ensues as the three girls are tormented by the spirits and must fight to contain them once more.
