As people sleep soundly in their beds, they are unaware of the high-tech operation run at the North Pole by members of Santa's dysfunctional family, including his cranky 136-year-old father Grandsanta (Bill Nighy), his devoted wife Mrs Santa (Imelda Staunton), and his very different sons, Steve (Laurie) and Arthur (McAvoy). As the family clash over their plans for the future, one present is lost but Arthur is determined to do whatever it takes to make sure that it is delivered.
