Double bill of adventures based on the 'Goosebumps' books by R. L. Stine. In 'Goosebumps' (2015), when teenage loner Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) finds himself friendless in a new town after his parents make him move, he is pleased to discover a beautiful girl living next door. As Zach makes friends with the neighbourly Hannah (Odeya Rush), he learns that her father is R. L. Stine (Jack Black), the author of the 'Goosebumps' books. When visiting the Stine's house, Zach knocks over one of the books, unwittingly unleashing the monsters on the pages into the real world. As Stine, Zach and Hannah try to recall the monsters' weaknesses in order to suck them back into their books where they belong, they find themselves battling a yeti, killer gnomes and a giant praying mantis, all fighting for a life outside of their manuscripts. The sequel, 'Goosebumps 2' (2018), is set in the town of Wardenclyffe where teenagers Sonny (Jeremy Ray Taylor) and Sam (Caleel Harris) find a locked manuscript titled 'Haunted Halloween'. Curious, they open the book, but by doing so they unleash a barrage of monsters onto the town. As the evil Slappy the Dummy (voice of Avery Lee Jones) attempts to create an unstoppable monster army, Sonny and Sam must work together to send Slappy and the rest of the monsters back into the book.
