Guy Martin's British Icons of War

£7.99

Released: 11th June 2018. Triple bill of war vehicle and aircraft documentaries presented by Guy Martin. In 'Guy Martin: The Last Flight of the Vulcan Bomber' Guy prepares a Vulcan XH588 bomber for its last ever flight and joins a team of volunteers as they work to get the iconic British warplane ready for its farewell tour. Over the course of the project, Guy also learns about the aircraft's history as he meets aviation experts and some of the plane's former pilots and even takes to the skies in the plane himself. In 'Guy Martin's Spitfire' Guy aims to restore a Second World War Spitfire and joins an engineering team on a two-year-long rebuild of a Mark I Spitfire that was excavated from a beach in France after being buried for decades. Over the course of the restoration, Guy also learns the story of the plane's pilot, Squadron Leader Geoffrey Stephenson. In 'Guy Martin's WW1 Tank' Guy visits Lincoln to help in the construction of a tank, undertakes tank driving lessons and aims to be able to drive the armoured vehicle through Lincoln during the Remembrance Day parade.
