Based on a true story, the film follows the relationship of Dain (Mungau Dain), the son of the village chief (Charlie Kahla), and Wawa (Marie Wawa), the granddaughter of a shaman. When Wawa is arranged to marry a member of the rival Imedin tribe, the young lovers flee their Yakel tribe and run away together.
