Dr Brian Kennedy is one of Ireland's most revered ambassadors of music. Originally from war torn West Belfast in Northern Ireland, Brian remains one of Ireland's most celebrated singing stars. He is first and foremost a live performer declaring 'music is my lifeblood'. Constantly touring Ireland, the UK and frequent trips to Australia, Germany, China and the USA, including the major global festivals like Glastonbury and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, has resulted in an ever-growing international fan base, over a phenomenal 35 year career. Joni Mitchell turns 80 on November 7th 2023 and Brian Kennedy wanted to mark this milestone birthday by recording his second 'love letter' volume of his favourite songs of hers. Brian Kennedy toured with Joni and Bob Dylan as part of Van Morrison's Blues and Soul Revue across the USA in 1998 when Joni was promoting her album 'Taming the Tiger'. She was so friendly and generous to him. Brian says 'They are not for the faint-throated, you think you know her songs until you actually try and sing them. We gave it our best, so we did. Please join me in celebrating this Canadian icon of song as she enters her 8th Decade!
