In the Summer of 1964 Wayne Shorter joined the Miles Davis Quintet and recorded his second Blue Note album JuJu which found the saxophonist in the company of three musicians with strong ties to John Coltrane: pianist McCoy Tyner, bassist Reggie Workman, and drummer Elvin Jones. The quartet soars across this evocative set of sublime Shorter originals. This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes.
