Having broken away from London Records, where he'd scored countless landmark, era-defining hits as a solo artist and as frontman for Bronski Beat and The Communards, Jimmy Somerville signed to independent label Gut in 1999, and unveiled the soulful, intensely personal masterpiece 'Manage the Damage'. Co-written and produced with friend, flatmate and ex-Communards collaborator Sally Herbert (Banderas), 'Manage the Damage' brought together a host of influences ranging from the classic melodies of Jimmy's pop past to French chanson, de rigeur R&B beats, disco, ambient electronics and contemporary house into one immaculately produced whole. To celebrate the album's 25th anniversary, Demon are releasing 'Manage the Damage' for the first time on vinyl. It comes pressed on 140-gram blue vinyl as an hmv Vinyl Week Exclusive.
