EMF were formed in late 1989 in Cinderford, in the Forest of Dean with a line-up comprising of lead singer James Atkin, with guitarist Ian Dench, keyboardist Derry Brownson, bassist Zac Foley and drummer Mark Decloedt. Their name stood for Epsom Mad Funkers which was taken from the description given to New Order fans by music journalist David Quantick in the NME. This expanded deluxe edition of that first album celebrates its 35th anniversary in style over two LPs with the original album in its entirety on LP1 bolstered with a selection of eight remixes of the albums four hit singles, personally selected by members of the band on LP2.
